Who's Left?
by Harry Smothers
(Tune: "Who's Next" by Tom Lehrer)
[At the semi-regular HouseSing at Tim Ryan's house in Ann Arbor, MI on 3/6/93, it got to the point that there were so many people upstairs, Tim wondered who was left downstairs to sing. MEW suggested that it would make a filk. I didn't even bat an eyelash before Tom Lehrer reared his, er, head and this song was born. Another name-dropper carol, of little consequence. And not quite everyone got in it.]
Then MEW left the filk, but don't you grieve
She had a pressure to relieve
And Chris left the filk, but have no fear,
He just went up for another bheer. **
Who's left?
Then the Smothers' claimed that they
Were going to scarf the cookie tray
Dave Alway wants two plates -- that's right,
One for the left and one for the right.
Who's left?
Tom Mattingly is next to go,
And, who knows, maybe Philbus-O ***
We'll try to stay calm and serene ....
When Mmmmmark Bernstein splits the scene
Who's left? Who's left?
Who's left? Who's left?
Written 1993 by Gerald Bliss (3/21) Since nobody outside of the area knows more than a third of these people, heck yeah, you can perform it all you wanna.

* - I have used the alternate spelling of Tom Smith in the first verse, on the premise that the grenade thrown through my living room window will be smaller.
