Dream Journal
Oh boy, just woke up from a doozy.
I often have dreams where I get out of work and can’t find my car, or I walk “home” and can’t find my apartment or whatever. This one was worse.
I had a good job, not sure what it was but they liked me and I was doing well. I parked my car (my old 1966 rust/orange LTD, a car I actually owned once upon a time) in the same spot all the time. This day, I got some extra stuff to take home (goodies, not extra work). I got off work, went down to get my briefcase (in someone else’s office, can’t explain why) and it wasn’t there. I went to the parking lot, and my car was missing. So I called my wife on my cellphone… and got a Hispanic male asking “Who is this?”. So I called the cellphone company to report the problem… and my wife somehow got on my line instead of the phone company. (It was definitely Laura’s, my last wife, voice.) She was begging me not to be mad at her… apparently she had something to do with my cellphone not being mine, or the phone I was calling, I’m confused on this. Then I told her don’t worry, I was just calling because I couldn’t find the car. She said, “Well it should be right where I left it on that side street.” WHAT side street? Where is my car? “Don’t be mad at me…”
Never did find out, but I woke myself up to a world where I live alone, don’t own a car, my cellphone is in my control, and Laura has been divorced from me for nearly 10 years. Had to remind myself how this is all good.
This is the first dream I have ever had where everything that went wrong turned out not to be my fault… maybe that’s better, but it was scarier.
Hugs,
Me
