I just got back from the They Might Be Giants concert… they were fantastic, as usual… perhaps not quite as good as their last trip here, but that was 3.5 years ago, it was great to see them again. I got their DVD movie “Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns”, which has 4.5 HOURS of EXTRAS… a TMBG t-shirt… the t-shirt cost more than the DVD, LOL.<\/P>

And the opening act was great too, a guy named Corn Mo. He was like Meat Loaf, playing solo with an accordion. He did a lot of his own songs, one cover (“We Are The Champions” by Freddie Mercury), and was terrific. He was sort of budget-sized Meat, (short, but had the build for the job) but had the voice to back it up. Sometimes he even sounded like another of my favorite bands, Sparks (that I thought nobody but me had heard of). I talked to him after his show, and he says he’s a great Sparks fan and sometimes does a cover of one of their songs, “This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us”, when he has a backup band. I got a signed poster from him (cool dedication on it, too \ud83d\ude42 ).<\/P>

I went with my friend, Joy. I bought her ticket as well as mine, and she paid me for it anyhow. She’s cool, and we had a great time. Of course, I talked about Kayla all the time, and showed her the picture I have printed out. She thought Kayla looked really cute. (Like I didn’t know that, LOL!)<\/P>
\n
Joy offered to walk me home afterwards (I offered to walk her home first, she had a longer way to go), but I pointed out I would be walking home on Hilliard… not the best street to be walking on that late. So we went our separate ways.<\/P>
