You’re not going to believe this, but it is a VERY brief account of my last 24 hours…<\/p>\n
One friend called last night, and by the time we had determined that I
\nhad company and she (the caller) was in tears, she hung up, despite me
\nbegging her not to (and the company being someone she knew). <\/p>\n
Then another friend called, and informed me that she should stop
\ntalking to me — taking over 35 minutes to do so, including me pointing
\nthis fact out about halfway through. No, I hadn’t done anything
\nwrong, she was just afraid that she might forget I was just a friend
\nand I deserved better than her (her words). <\/p>\n
Then I got an email from my fantasy online girlfriend, who informed me
\nit was insane for us to wait for each other for 2 years — something I
\ntold her in the first place, and she talked me out of. It is nice
\nto think that she thought of me for so long before dumping me though.<\/p>\n
I got a call from another friend, who just got out of the hospital from
\na nervous breakdown, after the man who is housing her and her husband
\ntried to force her into a relationship with him and literally called
\nher “my property”.<\/p>\n
My company and another friend went to check on the friend who had hung
\nup in tears… she’s all right today, and the eventual upshot was that
\nshe now owns the goldfish I’ve had from Kayla…<\/p>\n
Another friend called. A man she was interested in turned out to
\nnot like her because she was too old… turns out he likes small
\nchildren… he was mad at her for not understanding…<\/p>\n
I know I forgot something… but oh well, that’s enough… <\/p>\n
I am very glad to be in so many peoples’ lives (or out of them).
\nThis has just been Drama Day, I guess. Good thing I don’t have
\nmuch of my own to add (other than sadness over the hurts of my friends
\nand the breakup of my online relationship).<\/p>\n
