Low Energy Day
I got up. I went to the post office, my Asheville Homeless Network meeting, checked with a merchant about vending space in case AHN wants to go that route, went to Staples to get some paper and card stock for AHN, ran into a friend and talked about making him a website, had lunch at Bojangles, and managed to struggle home. After I got home, there was not much left in me, so I sat around, did some computer stuff, and skipped Drinking Liberally (no money anyhow) and even Open Mic Night. Tried to go to sleep, but got a phone call for help with HTML coding from James. Got up and wrote him a long email summarizing what we talked about, gave him a color chart, and didn’t go back to bed. Now it’s 5:30 in the morning, and I’m still puttering away. Will probably go to bed as soon as I finish this.
I got a lovely but brief and vague letter from my teacher today. Sri Virendra treats me as he would treat God himself, at least at times. He is such a loving man… but often gives me messages that I have to decipher for myself rather than spell things out for me.
I am grateful for the fact that I have nothing on my calendar tomorrow, or the weekend.
Hugs,
Me

You have agreed that you will die only because you have accepted from someone that you (as a separate entity) were born.
– H W L Poonja
No one is born; no one dies. What is born is only a concept. There is no entity to be freed.
Not understanding this fact constitutes the bondage of ignorance; apperception of it is the freedom of truth.
– Nisargadatta Maharaj
If you seek the kernel, then you must break the shell. And likewise, if you would know the reality of (birth and death in) Nature, you must destroy the appearance, and the farther you go beyond the appearance, the nearer you will be to the essence.
– Meister Eckhart
The path you’ve been directed to isn’t the path – there is no path. Give it up and be that which you already are.

A false teaching will use every damaging device possible to subtly suggest that you are not responsible for yourself.

Since no one really knows anything
about God,
those who think they do
are just troublemakers.

The last person to see through the illusion is the one who created it. That you can see through mine or I can see through yours doesn’t matter. All that matters is that we see through our own.

Beyond the belief that something can be lost, there is nothing to lose.
