Oh boy, here we go again
One-A-Day Women vitamins… a cartoon character, drawn with crayons and still on the piece of paper she was born on, tells us how this vitamin helps her. There are just too many things wrong with this…

Of course… a cartoon character is so benign. The one that really bothers me is for this new protein bar called… Soy Joy. It promises “optimism”. The commercial is a stick figure basically. When I first saw this commercial I dropped my jaw to the floor. Taken from their site ~ Meet whole soy. It has many health benefits, but did you know that it helps you see the bright side of things, increases your ability to laugh at yourself and comes in six great flavors? So go get your daily optimism requirement at a store near you. I find this extremely scary.
@Amethyst62 – Especially since soy is a leading cause of tachycardia and plays hell with your hormones… me, I’m just allergic to it; presumably I would be happy while I’m covered in eczema blisters.
@Amethyst62 – …and when I closed my Xanga window and went back to my Gmail window (whence came the announcement that I had a reply from you), the ad at the top of my mail window was: “The Benefits of Soy – http://www.SOYJOY.com – New SOYJOY nutrition bars are packed with whole soy & dried fruit”. Now I’m scared, they know what I’m thinking and they’re following me…
@mordewis – And causes palpatations, digestive problems, gastrointestinal problems, dizziness, weight gain, and a whole lot more. I can’t believe that it can be sold on the open market.
@mordewis – Oh my gosh! I almost fell off my chair when I read that. What were the chances of that happening? I think the Universe is warning you to stay away from the Soy Joy.
@Amethyst62 – Actually, the chances were quite high — the message from Xanga quoted your reply, and Google makes its money by having context-sensitive advertising. Since your reply mentioned SoyJoy, Google picked up on it, found they were an advertiser, and posted the ad. Don’t you love the way your Internet usage is being monitored?
@mordewis – I did not know that… very interesting. I have ad blocker stuff so I don’t get any advertising so I had never noticed anything like that before. Shows what I know… Ya learn something new every day. It’s horrible what the government/whomever will pry into anymore. It’s Orwellian times, my friend.
@Amethyst62 – I have AdBlock Plus too… this however is text, and AdBlock doesn’t catch it. It’s in the line right above my Archive – Delete, etc buttons. In the case of THIS message, I got: “Fool.com: The Motley Fool – You’re Making Me Dizzy, Lehman Brothers”.
