As a few of you know, I have been having a homeless man named Danny sleeping on my couch for a few weeks.  He is so nice and unobtrusive, and has been pretty much on schedule paying me my “disturbance fee” of $50/week, that tonight I offered to rearrange the apartment and make him my unofficial roomie, giving him his own room.  I don’t know how well we can do this, but I’ll try… it will mean getting rid of the mostly-just-cluttered dining room table.  He really liked this idea.  Among other things, it will (when accomplished) free up the couch should any of my other friends choose to visit.  If it continues to work out, I will have to disturb my housing coordinator and let her know about it, and we will have some details to work out.  Besides his pleasant demeanor, what makes this work out is that he has a real job, has had for over a year now, and that job is right down the hill from my apartment.

I just today received a new (refurbished) Lenovo Notebook computer.  It should work.  It doesn’t, quite.  While it boots and all, the T, Y, Left Shift, Backspace, and Tab keys (at least) do not function in MOST windows (the left shift works in a few windows — and I have not tried the Right Shift key).  Hope I can get this straightened out, and stop having bad luck with computers.
