Good day
I actually wrote this up for my diary (OhLife.com), but it sounded more and more like I should post it here.
It was pretty good overall. We decided kinda not to go do laundry today. Never put off until tomorrow what you can put off until the day after tomorrow. We went to eat at Blimpies Salads and Subs / Baskin Robbins — only to find they no longer had a Blimpies at that location. There was a Captain D’s caddy-corner across the street, and we decided to eat there. Turned out to be a GREAT decision, as they had a salmon salad which featured fresh greens and a huge slab of baked salmon. We then went over to Baskin Robbins anyhow, after a call with my mother. We then took the long way home, well not the shortest but Maggie argued with us all the way, and went to Mascot Park to practice. Came home and pretty much did nothing else… ok, I finally hooked up the TV and VCR/DVD player and we watched Blazing Saddles. I really wanted to watch Victor/Victoria but couldn’t find it. Damn. But it was all right. And we went to bed and snuggled.

It sounds like a really good day. I like Blazing Saddles but I would have preferred Victor/Victoria myself. I love that movie! Robert Preston is a hoot! I loved him in Blake Edward’s SOB too.

@mordewis – Yep, yep! Every once in a while I have to pull out that video and watch it. It’s such a laugh out loud movie.
@Broom_Service – We watched Young Frankenstein tonight. Sure wish I knew what happened to Victor/Victoria though.
@mordewis – I love that movie, too! Don’t worry. You’ll find it once you’re not looking for it any longer. That’s always the works.
@Broom_Service – I don’t think so. My movies are all in two boxes. If it’s not in one, it’s in the other, and if it’s not, it got stolen in my last move. I still haven’t found a lot of things, and while it is true I didn’t fully unpack, some are things I would not have packed deeply. My jewelry box, with all my earrings and some mementoes of my father and friends has been missing, and I’ve torn the place apart. Ah well. A lesson in detachment.
@mordewis – Ouch. I’m so sorry to hear about that. I truly hate it when things like that happen. Been there… had it done to me.
