Good day overall
Had a rocky start, then got out of the house. I did get the rat’s cage cleaned this morning and fed him. I got a couple other things done, like making ground beast and eggs for breakfast. We went to visit Angus and Angie in Pigeon Forge, and I got to play music, and things got better, and we went to the baseball game. Honey got hungry at the end of the game and had a blood sugar crash making her grumpy, but we got her a salad at Arby’s and me a couple baked potatoes and everything’s fine. I cuddled a bit before getting up, mowing the beard-lawn, and entering our spending stuff, need to finish up on the Net and go take a shower, hopefully get to read to my honey tonight.
Oh, and the Smokies came back from an early 3-0 deficit, took a 6-3 lead in the 6th, and held on for a 6-5 victory over Chattanooga, with 3 errors on each side.
Hugs,
Me
Great minds think alike! I cleaned my rat’s cage today too. Two happy rats =} What is your ratty’s name? Mine is Billy Bean. I have two Ball Pythons and one of them didn’t eat her rat. Any rat that isn’t eaten, I grant immunity to. I absolutely hate that I have to feed my snakes rats, but the circle of life must go on and I know they need to eat. Billy Bean sure is a love though. A huge amount of personality!Blessings for a wonderful week, Moss!
@Moonlit_Lass – Mine is Hratgar, the Rat Who Refused To Die. Yes, I have a ball python (the real name is royal python, just we Amurkins are weird), and yes, she refuses to eat some of the Purina Snake Chow I bring home. I have a friend with a Burmese who eats larger rats but only if they’re frozen… I had two left and she wouldn’t eat them. Put one in the freezer, a couple days later we had frozen snake food. Put Hratgar in the freezer… he chewed through two boxes, ate my frozen veggies and chicken, and a week later was still thriving. I gave up. Put him back in the rat tank. He did lose most of his tail over that, but it otherwise fine. Doesn’t seem to mind much when I forget to feed him for a few days. I have to admit I don’t much care for rodents, and haven’t totally warmed to him, but I’ve tried to, and sometimes he lets me pet him a little. Hasn’t let me pick him up yet, and I’m afraid he’d jump and get away.My python’s name is Ariadne, by the way.
